Sarah Humphries

Chief of Resource Development

Sarah is the Chief of Resource Development at Ocean Conservancy, and she is responsible for working with the Board of Directors as well as senior leadership to raise the organization’s $30 million annual budget. Sarah has been working for progressive advocacy organizations for over 20 years, and during that time she has raised hundreds of millions of dollars for environmental conservation and women’s rights. She brings expertise in corporate engagement, board maximization and individual philanthropy. Prior to Ocean Conservancy, Sarah was the Vice President of Development at NARAL Pro-Choice America. She also ran development programs at Defenders of Wildlife, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) and PAI. Sarah graduated from Middlebury College with high honors and a degree in Spanish and Religion. She is also a graduate of Harvard’s course on exponential fundraising at Harvard’s Hauser Institute for Civil Society.
